Bat Research Greetings! You have been chosen by the National Geographic for Kids magazine to write an article on a bat species. Your teacher told us that you learned many things about bats during your reading class and are interested in researching more about a species of bat. Please help our magazine by writing a great article with lots of fun facts about your bat species. We will be uploading the article for our next issue. Be sure to to do the following things if you want your article to be considered for publication! :)
- Find accurate information-- Do not just write down facts because you found them on the Internet. Sometimes, the internet has false information. Make sure you use the web sties that your teacher tells you are accurate.
- Find exciting and informative facts-- Make sure your facts are interesting and something that you did not know before this project.
- Organization- Make sure your paragraphs are well organized. You should have an introduction sentence, 4-5 sentences in the middle with awesome facts, followed by a conclusion sentence. Use the Research Guide below to help organize EACH paragraph.
- Neatly written- Make sure your paragraphs are written neatly so that the readers of the magazine can read it! Also, make sure to check for capitalization and punctuation at the end.
- Sources Cited- This may be new to you, but it is important to give credit to where you found your facts. Make sure to write down the website address where you find all of your facts. If there is an author, make sure to write their name down too!
